Bond strength study: (American University of Sharjah)
Investigating the Bond Performance of Newly Developed High Strength Steel as Reinforcement for Concrete. Structures
Objectives and Proposed Methodology
The main objective of this project is to assess the bond performance of the newly developed high strength steel (ES600) rebar. The aim is to compare the performance of concrete members reinforced with the high strength steel rebars ES600 developed by Emirates Steel against the conventional steel rebars (B500B) provided by the same supplier. This will be done by conducting bond tests for ES600 and B500B rebars of four different sizes (12, 16, 20, and 32 mm).
